On Your Birthday: a letter from your sons

Dear Daddy,

We were having a little chat the other day, and we came to the unanimous conclusion that when we grow up, we want to be just like you.

We want to be STRONG like you, strong in body, mind, and spirit. We want to always seek the Truth without compromise. We want to know how to ask the questions that will lead us and all those around us closer to that Truth.

We want to know how to PRAY like you. We want to listen to God, and when He speaks to us, we want to have the courage to follow Him wherever He leads us. When we have discerned His plan for our lives, we want to dive headlong into our vocation and never look back!

We want to be FEARLESS like you. When the world tries to tell us how to live our lives, we will look to your example and know that there is a better way.

We want to LOVE LIFE like you. Even when things get hard, we want to know how to smile and crack a joke. We want to hike, climb, ski, skate, run, jump, fly across the ocean, eat great food and become connoisseurs of good beer.

I know it seems like we have a long time to grow up, but every day we are looking to you and learning from your example. Before you know it, we'll be on our own, making our own choices. It might be scary to think about that, but with a daddy like you, we don't think you have too much to worry about.

We love you! Happy birthday!

Love, Max

And Louie

**I may have helped out a little with the wording, but the sentiments were all their own, I assure you!**
